Canaanland Southern Gospel was formed in 1993 as an all mens Quartet in our local church. As we continued singing, we felt GOD'S calling to branch out into other areas. After a time of prayer and support we did as God always wants us to do; be obedient and to step out in faith as we did God began a great work, requests for concerts began to flood us. Over the past 19 years God has called some of our former members in new directions and we as a group and individuals have always listened to HIS calling. He has always provided a way for us to continue the work He has started. Canaanland has changed over the years from a mens quartet to a mixed quartet to a mixed trio then a male trio, then back to a mixed trio. But the message has always been the same! Canaanland currently consists of Rick Butler the only original member, our newest member Randy Whipple and Patty Siggins which has been with the group now for 2 years. Also when Patti joined us we gained a great sound tech Donald, Patti's husband. God has truly Blessed us in this journey. We have had births of children & grandchildren within our Canaanland family. We have seen loved ones called home to be with the LORD and most recently Rick's mom one of our biggest supporters. But mostly we give Praise to HIS name for the miracles he has performed within our Canaanland family.
We have been Blessed to have toured through Louisiana, Georgia, The Carolina's, Tennessee and all over Florida, He has also Blessed us with 6 recording projects. Our goal, and always will be, is to reach the lost, uplift our Brothers and Sisters in Christ and minister to the hurting. Our very first recording project was titled "Seeking a Fresh Touch From The Master" that's what we have done from the start and will continue to do as we move forward in His name.
